Akron tickets

Apparently, tickets to the Akron show will not be available at the Highland box office until Friday, at the earliest. Also, that will be the only place to get them. I will update you when I know more.

Pittsburgh press coverage

The Pittsburgh Tribune-Review did a writeup about our movie. Check it out: http://www.pittsburghlive.com/x/pittsburghtrib/ae/s_617593.html

Dublin over in pain

For about 10 hours Sunday, I thought our movie had been stolen and funneled to Ireland. Read the blog at http://thebrideandthegrooms.blogspot.com/

Back to the 'Burgh

The Bride & The Grooms, which features two scenes shot in Pittsburgh, will close out its first weekend in theaters with a showing on the east side.

The Oaks Theater, 310 Allegheny River Boulevard, Oakmont, Pa., will show the movie at 8:30 p.m., Sunday, April 26. Some of the lead actors will make a special appearance after the movie for a Q&A, from 10:15 to 11.

"I have lived all over Pittsburgh, so I hope to see a bunch of familiar faces," said writer-director Butch Maier, who also will attend. "The Oaks was very cooperative at such a late date, and I am happy the movie found a home in the 'Burgh."

Tickets will be available in advance -- for $7 cash only -- at the box office.

Trailers parked

Two new trailers for "The Bride & The Grooms" have been posted on YouTube and can be seen in the trailer section of this site. One premiered before the Ohio indie horror flick "Hellementary" on Thursday at Chagrin Cinemas and features the song "Cathedrals" by Molly Morgan. It was tailored specifically for a horror audience. The other trailer features the song "Cars Crashing" from Empire Drift. Enjoy.

Yes, Virginia!

The Bride & The Grooms will be seen in yet another state. Our little movie with big dreams will be shown at The Commodore in Portsmouth, Virginia, on Saturday, April 25. That's the writer-director's wife's hometown, so show us some love, P-Town! There's only one show, and it's at 11 a.m., so don't stay out too late that Friday!

Hi, buy!

The Bride & The Grooms is scheduled to play one time at the Cedar Lee in Cleveland, but we'd love to book a second showing. We can't do so unless we sell out the theater well enough in advance. So if you are planning to see it in Cleveland, at 4 p.m., Sunday, April 26, please buy tickets now. You can do so at the theater box office or at clevelandcinemas.com.

There's even a Q&A with the main cast and crew after the movie ... and you still could get home in time to watch "60 Minutes," so no excuses!

Are you from Northeast Ohio? TBATG was shot primarily in Northeast Ohio with a Northeast Ohio cast and a Northeast Ohio crew. So come out and support this little movie with big dreams!

Plenty of coverage

I have been asked what attire is appropriate for actors from the movie and their guests to wear to the premieres of The Bride & The Grooms. After much careful consideration, I have decided the appropriate attire is clothing.

Thank you.

Butch

Please, no pushing as you rush to the Highland and Cedar Lee box offices.
